Dreamwidth account, woo!
I have a Dreamwidth account!! My very first entry. Next to figure out how to crosspost between there and here (cuz I cannot face futzing with the color scheme any longer, I am just accepting that for reasons I can't immediately explain, all my links in the header turn white when moused over).

Assuming we ever get out of this freaking airport, we'll meet up with [info]jmtorres tonight before family festivities tomorrow and Sunday. Festivities of course defined as spending a lot of time trying to figure out what to do and sitting around, cuz this is my dad's family & that's how they roll. Any supportive thoughts for patience and enjoying seeing my family with no expectations of anything beyond that are appreciated.

I'm at DW, too! I just haven't posted to LJ about it yet. Same username there, I'll go add you right now. Eventually, I'll probably crosspost and follow the fandom migration entirely if it happens, but I haven't been able to do much with it yet.

& yea, I'm totally excited about DW, but it's so not there yet. Which you know, they're in beta, so of course they're not, but I've run into enough little things that I won't be pulling up tentposts here just yet.

If you use semagic, someone's figured out a hack way to crosspost with semagic. I'm afraid I don't use semagic so I don't know where to look for that, but try [info]isabeau (she's ysobel on dreamwidth).

Hanging out with my family became more enjoyable when I stopped expecting to do anything other than reading, drinking tea, and chatting. No grand aspirations = no disappointments. Of course, I think I started to understand this when I was trapped with them for 3 weeks in 1995 and coped by reading a book on Zen meditation (be in the present!).
